The Heart Behind LYU Music Academy
Lyu Stankova is an internationally acclaimed cellist whose artistry bridges classical tradition and innovative expression. With a career spanning Europe and Asia, she has performed in renowned cities including Prague, Vienna, Kiev, Beijing, Hong Kong, Macau, and France, captivating audiences with her passionate performances and unique interpretations.
Her remarkable achievements include winning the Grand Award at the 2019 Grand International Music and Talent Festival in Malaysia and being recognized among Malaysia’s Top 10 Outstanding Artists. Lyu has also competed on global platforms such as the International Competition “Young Virtuosos” and the National Competition for Young Musicians and Singers “Svetoslav Obretenov”, earning accolades that reflect her dedication and talent.
Beyond performing, Lyu has served as an adjudicator for prestigious events including the World Championship International Competition 2024 and the Shanghai International Music Competition 2023, witnessing and nurturing extraordinary musical talent from around the world.
Lyu founded LYU Music Academy in Malaysia to share her passion and expertise with aspiring musicians. At the academy, she fosters a learning environment where every student is encouraged to explore, create, and discover the joy of music. Her vision is to inspire the next generation of performers, ensuring that every note tells a story and every melody becomes a personal journey.
